At dawn, members of Singapore’s Kebun Baru Birdsinging Club gather beneath hundreds of hanging cages filled with songbirds.
Most are retired or semi-retired men who spend much of their time caring for, breeding, and training their birds. As the covers come off and birdsong fills the air, friendships are maintained and routines repeated.
These images focus on the rituals, dedication, and sense of community surrounding a tradition that has shaped daily life for generations.
